Lethbridge – A week after facing the defending University Cup Champion Alberta Golden Bears, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men’s hockey team (0-4-0) faces another ranked opponent in a home-and-home series with the Calgary Dinos (2-2-0).

The front half of the home-and-home series goes Friday night in Calgary at Father David Bauer, before the ‘Horns play host to the Dinos Saturday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena. Puck drops both nights at 7:00pm.

Saturday night’s game will also be webcast on http://canadawest.tv.

Last weekend, the ‘Horns were swept for the second consecutive weekend and are still in search of their first conference win of the year. Following a 10-0 loss Friday night to the Golden Bears, the ‘Horns held a 3-2 lead heading into the third period but the Bears exploded for five third period goals to complete the sweep.

Through four games the ‘Horns have only scored five goals and fourth-year forward Mark Hall and senior Dan Iwanski lead the team offensively with two points apiece.

After opening the CIS top 10 ranked #2, the Dinos dropped to #7 in the country after being swept by the Mount Royal Cougars, 3-1 and 2-1.

In both series thus far, the Dinos have split the goaltending duties between Kris Lazaruk and Jacob DeSerres and their numbers are nearly identical. Lazaruk holds a 1.51 goals-against-average and a 0.925 save percentage, while DeSerres sits with a 1.52 goals-against-average and a 0.932 save percentage.

2013-14 Canada West first team all-star Kodie Curran leads all Canada West defencemen in scoring with two goals and five assists.
